ABOUT The Artist
Celeste Vanya was born in Houston, TX, but, moved around the country growing up. Her dad worked as a steel worker, so, sometimes to find work the family had to move to another state. They lived in Southern California and Central Pennsylvania. After high school she moved to South Florida with a group of her friends, fell in love with it and stayed.
Her earliest memories of interest in makeup were when her mother would put it on when her parents would go out. She got her first real taste of professional makeup in high school in the theater department where they used it for plays and musicals.
For the last 15 years she pursued a career in with a restaurant company. She started as a server and for the last 9 years was the Regional Training Director for South East Florida and a New Store Opening Coordinator, so, she did some traveling and was an integral part of about 15 or 20 new store openings.
Through it all, friends would always ask her to do their makeup, or, for makeup tips. In June of 2014 another friend asked her to do the makeup for her wedding, so, she flew out to Albuquerque, NM for a beautiful wedding and her first professional gig. It was a great feeling and the pull of makeup was stronger than ever, so, she decided that it was time for a career change. She attended Cosmix School of Makeup Artistry and now specializes in Print and Production Makeup.
